The odd (yet adorable) couple.

Dwight Howard of the Houston Rockets teamed up with former FLOTUS Barbara Bush to shoot hoops while filming a few literacy PSAs.

According to PEOPLE, Howard helped the 90-year-old around the court and she even tossed the ball in the air. The duo also hugged up for some promotional shots while rocking matching Rockets jerseys. Barbara was of course wearing a number 41 jersey, referencing her husband’s presidency.

Dwight is a fun-loving guy. And mom is about as witty as they come at the age of 90. They were very playful. It was so cute to see this shrinking little 90-year-old with this big, tall virile guy get along so well,” Barbara’s son Neil told Houston’s Culture Map. Neil Bush is also the co-chair of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, for which the PSAs were being shot.

The announcement hopes to inspire viewers to volunteer at a school, library, or nonprofit, as “4 out of 5 Houston children lack strong literacy skills by the 4th grade,” according to the foundation’s Facebook page. Dwight Howard has his own charity, the D12 Foundation, which also focuses on early childhood education.

The full videos are set to be released in February, but you can check out the adorable photos here for now.
