Matt Rule, a former member of the Carolina Panthers organization, is suing the team for $5 million in damages. Rule was the team’s head strength and conditioning coach for the 2017 season. He alleges that he was wrongfully terminated by the Panthers after suffering a severe shoulder injury from an incident involving Panthers quarterback Cam Newton.

Matt Rule claims, he was fired without proper cause.

Rule state he was not given the opportunity to return to his job after his injury had healed. He claims he has sustained significant financial losses due to the wrongful termination as well as emotional distress and mental anguish. The Panthers deny any wrongdoing and have yet to respond to Rule’s claims. This case is currently pending in the North Carolina Superior Court.

Sidejoke: What if his $5 Million went towards Beyonce’s check? hmmmmm Let’s just say that lol
