NC State v Duke

The Super Regionals are set for the NCAA Baseball World Series! Let’s look at the matchups we have coming up this round.

Only two teams from North Carolina are left in the bracket, Duke and Wake Forest. Duke defeated Coastal Carolina on June 5 with a score of 12-3 to advance. Wake Forest should have a relatively easy time getting past Alabama as they are the number one overall seed, and Alabama is in the midst of a coaching change after the controversy of Brad Bohannon betting on Alabama games. Duke will have a tough time in their matchup as they go against a strong Virginia team. Virginia has better stats than Duke when it comes to Batting Average, Runs, Hits, OBP, SLG, ERA, WHIP, and BB on the season. The only category Duke really outperformed Virginia in this season is Home Runs with Duke having 108 compared to Virginia’s 76.  Hopefully, these two NC teams that are left can continue to show up and show out for North Carolina!
