Joe Person of the Athletic joined Kyle Bailey earlier today as he recapped Panthers OTA’s from Bryce Young’s continued progress to Jaycee Horn sustaining another injury.

The discussion started with Frank Reich announcing that Bryce Young is QB1 right now, but not the week 1 starter as Joe thinks this is just another tiny milestone before the inevitable happens.

On a sour note, it was announced that Jaycee Horn will miss the rest of OTA’s and Minicamp due to an ankle and foot injury Joe noted that these injuries have been fluky, and while Joe isn’t worried yet he thinks if another injury occurs the concerns should become real. That led to Joe saying no matter Jaycee Horn’s injury status they need to add more depth at the position, especially with Donte Jackson’s recent Achilles injury.

When it came to potential breakout candidates Joe said Terrace Marshall is a guy you look to, especially after the flashes he showed after Matt Rhule got fired last year and he thinks Terrace has a good chance to continue that momentum heading into this year.
