The Coronavirus is a pandemic here in the US, in-person classes have been affected. Here is a list of notable colleges that will convert to ONLINE ONLY!
West Coast:
- Loyola Marymount University: Classes will be held online from March 16-March 31.
- San Jose State: In-person classes are suspended from March 10-13. Those classes will transition to online classes from March 16-27.
- Santa Clara University: Classes will move online until April 13.
- Seattle University: Classes will be held online until the end of the university’s winter quarter.
- Stanford University: Classes will be held online until the end of the university’s winter quarter.
- University of California, Berkeley: In-person classes suspended until March 29, classes to be moved online.
- University of California, Irvine: Classes will be held online for the rest of the semester.
- University of California, San Diego: All classes will be held online for the rest of the semester.
- UCLA: In-person classes suspended until April 10, classes moved online. Winter quarter final exams to be offered remotely.
- University of Southern California: The university is testing a move to online classes from March 11-13.
- University of Washington: Classes will move online until March 20.
East Coast:
- American University: Spring break extended through March 17, then classes moved online until April 3.
- Amherst College: Students should leave campus by March 18 unless they petition to remain. Classes will go online for the rest of the semester.
- Barnard College: Classes will go online until the week after spring break.
- Bowdoin College: Classes will be held online starting March 25.
- Bucknell University: Classes will go online starting March 19 through the end of the semester.
- Columbia University: Classes canceled on Monday and Tuesday, then will move online until spring break next week.
- Duke University: Classes to move online until further notice, starting March 23, after an extended spring break.
- Fayetteville State University: Classes will resume March 23rd ONLINE
- Fordham University: Classes will go online until further notice.
- Harvard University: Classes will go online starting March 23 until further notice.
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology: In-person classes with more than 150 people will be moved online.
- Middlebury College: Middlebury will begin spring break on March 13 and resume classes online on March 30.
- New York University: Classes to be held online until March 27, when the university will either decide to continue remote learning or resume in-person classes.
- Princeton University: Classes will be held online until April 5.
- Smith College: In-person classes will be held until March 13 and students are expected to move off campus the next day. Spring break will be extended by one week, until March 29. After break, the school will conduct classes remotely.
- Syracuse University: Classes will be held online from March 13 through at least March 30.
- The New School: Classes will be held online from March 30-April 12.
- Towson University: Classes are canceled from March 11-13 and through spring break until March 22.
- Tufts University: Classes will be held online for the rest of the semester.
- University of Maryland: Classes will move online starting March 30 until April 10.
- Rutgers University: Classes are canceled until March 22. Instruction will be moved online from March 23 until at least April 3.
