Matt Barnes has been known to be reckless on the court. However, none of his on-court antics comes close to what he reportedly did to Knicks coach Derek Fisher last weekend.

The New York Post reports that Barnes drove 95 miles to his home in Los Angeles to assault Fisher when he found out the coach was hanging with his ex-wife Gloria Govan in his backyard during a party. Fisher had been dating Govan for a few months and filed for divorce from his wife back in March.

“Barnes was in Santa Barbara [at Memphis Grizzlies training camp] and heard that Fisher was in his house,” a source said. “He went crazy. He got in his car and went to the house and went after Fisher.”

Fisher reportedly left the scene with a few scratches but decided not to press charges on his former teammate (they played together in the Lakers). One source claimed that the fight was the reason Fisher missed practice on Monday. The Knicks maintain he missed it due to “practice due to personal reasons.” Gloria is planning on filing a restraining order against Barnes.

This could have major repercussions. The NBA, the Grizzles and the Knicks are investigating the incident, according to Yahoo Sports. We’ll keep you updated on any developments.
