Halle Bailey Granted Restraining Order After Alleging Physical Abuse by Ex DDG

Halle Bailey has been granted a domestic violence restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG, after filing court documents that detail a pattern of violent and obsessive behavior. The two share an infant son, Halo, and what once appeared to be a picture-perfect influencer relationship has unraveled into a disturbing case of alleged abuse, stalking, and harassment.

The most serious allegation involves a January custody exchange that, according to Bailey, turned violent in front of their child. In her court filing, she describes an argument that escalated quickly after DDG became upset over visitation arrangements. While Bailey was placing Halo into his car seat, she says DDG screamed, “Get out of my car, b*tch,” before grabbing her by the hair and slamming her head into the steering wheel. The impact was reportedly so forceful that it chipped her tooth.
Bailey said the physical assault only stopped when Halo began crying. She chose not to leave the car out of fear for her son’s safety. “I stayed in the car even though I was in pain,” she wrote, “because I didn’t want him to hurt our son.”
When she finally arrived at DDG’s family home, Bailey collapsed and told his relatives what had happened. According to the filing, they agreed to take temporary custody of Halo, acknowledging the severity of the situation.
The violence didn’t end there. In March, Bailey alleges that DDG entered her home without permission while she was away. Once inside, he took a photo of her empty bed and texted it to her with the message, “Now I know what u been on.” Bailey interpreted this as a threatening accusation of infidelity and another form of control.

Just four days later, DDG allegedly returned to her home again. When Bailey refused to let Halo leave because he was sick, she says DDG became verbally abusive, smashed her Ring security camera, grabbed her phone, and sped off in his car—tossing her phone out the window while yelling, “Go get it, b*tch.”
Fearing for her safety, Bailey filed a police report and requested a protective order. A judge has now granted that request, ordering DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey, cease all communication, and refrain from posting about her or their son on social media or YouTube.
The court also approved Bailey’s request to temporarily move to Italy with Halo for two months while she films a movie, providing a much-needed reprieve from what she describes as a dangerous and volatile situation.

In her court filing, Bailey also accused DDG of displaying “frequent and extreme mood swings, control, and manipulation.” She says he repeatedly tried to shame and intimidate her, both emotionally and physically, while portraying a polished public image through curated couple content and appearances.

“He has actually laid a f***ing hand on me,” Bailey stated bluntly in the filing. “And I took it.”
The legal documents offer a stark contrast to the glamorous image the couple once presented. Their relationship, which began in 2020, was often featured in vlogs, social media posts, and red carpet events. But Bailey says behind closed doors, she was enduring physical and emotional harm.
As of now, neither DDG nor his legal team have issued a public response to the court’s decision. Bailey has remained silent on social media, choosing instead to let the legal filings speak for themselves.
