Charlotte native Stephen Curry is now the 3-point king! On Tuesday (December 14) Curry made history, passing Ray Allen to become the NBA’s all-time leader with 2,974 career 3-pointers.

The Golden State Warriors were at Madison Garden to face the New York Knicks where Curry entered the game just two 3-pointers away from the record. Curry sank both 3’s early in the game to seal the record.

After breaking the record Curry shared an emotional moment with his teammates, coaches, dad, and mom.

The Charlotte Christain graduate broke the record in just 789 games where it took Ray Allen 1,300 career games.
