The 70-degree weather in December in Charlotte is amazing. But just in case when the temperature does drop let’s plug into some of the finest heated outdoor bars and lounges in Charlotte.

Art Room: 1001 E Sugar Creek Rd

The lounge and bar is located in northeast Charlotte on Sugar Creek Rd. They have inside seating with features decorative artwork by local artists covering the walls. There is also an outdoor patio which is perfect for the summer and cooler weather. Also, they have hookah and a live DJ. It’s really a vibe.

Merchant and Trade: 303 S Church St

This spot is an uptown favorite. Not only does it have heated outdoor seating but features a panoramic view of Uptown Charlotte. The bar is on the 19th floor of the Kimpton Tyron Park Hotel. There are four distinct zones of the bar– indoor bar, outdoor terrace, private terrace and the lawn. Merchant and Trade has great classic cocktails, house-made mixers and craft beers on tap brewed right here in Charlotte.

Westend Tavern: 2817 Rozzelle Ferry Rd.

You know they say the west end is the best end and this spot does not disappoint. Westend Tavern is fairly new in Charlotte. It’s a restaurant, bar and lounge all in one and it’s a good spot of you and your girls go out. It’s located in Charlotte’s Historic West End Neighborhood. Westend Tavern features outdoor seating with fire pits, great food, hookah, and live DJ.
