Auntie Maxine is reclaiming her time honey! The U.S. Representative has been in the news and at the forefront of getting the current President impeached and calling out his administration on a constant basis.
Well all of her humanitarian efforts have paid off as our favorite auntie is being honored at BET’s Black Girls Rock ceremony with the Social Humanitarian Award for “being a fearless and outspoken advocate for under-served population.”

The congresswoman who’s been viral with such saying like “reclaiming my time” when calling out Treasury Secretary Mnuchin for not responding to a letter that was sent by her and her team earlier this year is having the time of her life.
Mrs. Waters will be joining Issa Rae of HBO’s Insecure,Yara Shahidi of Black-ish and Grammy Award winning singer Roberta Flack for the annual ceremony that’s hosted by actress Taraji P. Henson. The ceremony happens tomorrow in New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.
