Virtually ever since Scott Fitterer became the general manager of the Carolina Panthers, one of the things he's been adamant about is that Brian Burns is going to be in Carolina for the foreseeable future. Evidence of that, was the trade deadline last year, when the Rams offered Carolina, two first-round picks, along with a second, and Carolina declined the offer. The fifth-year pass rusher out of Florida State is getting ready for the 2023 season, and he's awaiting a new contract after Carolina picked up his fifth-year option, which is set to pay him $16 million dollars. Last year Burns recorded 12.5 sacks and was named to his second Pro Bowl, as he's proven in his young NFL career, that he can be a productive player, at the premium position on the defensive side of the football. With all of that in mind, how much should he get paid?

On Monday’s Charlotte Sports Today, the topic of Panthers tight end usage in 2023 came up. Since Greg Olsen left the Panthers in 2019, the Panthers have been one of the worst teams when it comes to tight end production in the NFL. In 2020, the Panthers tight ends produced 27 receptions, 204 receiving yards […]

Joe Person of the Athletic joined Kyle Bailey earlier today as he recapped Panthers OTA’s from Bryce Young’s continued progress to Jaycee Horn sustaining another injury. Reich stated that this decision follows the timeline, from when Young was drafted first overall, as the plan was to gradually allow him to progress to this point. Even with Young now being QB1, Reich was non-commital on naming Young the starter for the season opener at Atlanta this September.

This offseason has been one of joy and hope for the Carolina Panthers, but on Thursday they got some news that brought things back to Earth a little bit.

The conversation with Mike started with comments from Tommy Tremble in his latest piece being very critical of former HC Matt Rhule Mike explained that while he thinks Tommy was critical of the way Rhule […]

The Carolina Panthers haven't come out and said that they are searching for a veteran edge rusher, but many in the fanbase believe that this is still an area of need. On Monday, one of those veteran options came off the board when Leonard Floyd signed with the Buffalo Bills on a one-year deal. If the Panthers are going to find that edge rusher, it will have to come from a group that doesn't have nearly the history that Floyd has in the Ejiro Evero system.
