Carolina Panther vs New York Giants

After seeing Brady Christensen put on IR earlier in the week, this afternoon, Jaycee Horn was placed on the IR, after he suffered a hamstring injury, in the season-opening loss to the Atlanta Falcons. After the Panthers returned home, Reich had made it known that the injury was rather severe, and that surgery was an option for the third-year cornerback.

It is unknown now if Horn will opt for surgery, but the decision to place him on IR means he will miss the next four weeks at a minimum, making him unavailable for the games against the Saints, Seahawks, Vikings, and Lions.

This adds pressure to a defensive back room consisting of CJ Henderson, Donte Jackson, Troy Hill, and others to step up in the absence of Horn, to keep the defense competitive moving forward.
