Another day, another frivolous lawsuit.

Former N.W.A. manager Jerry Heller is suing Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, the estate of Eazy-E, and NBC Universal for $110 million. Jerry Heller’s claiming that Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and NBC Universal defamed his character when they portrayed him as a predator and thieving manager in the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton.

TMZ Reports:

“Heller says he was portrayed as “the bad guy” and “a sleazy manager who took advantage of Eazy-E, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube.” And he says there are other lies in the movie, including:

— He withheld a $75k check from Ice Cube

— He fraudulently induced Dre and Cube to sign unfavorable contracts

— He enjoyed lobster brunches while the contracts were being signed

— He was fired by Eazy-E”

Jerry claims he never gave NBC Universal permission to use his likeness for the film, and now wants to profit off its earnings. Interestingly enough, the 75-year-old music manager went to the film’s premiere and sat front row with his lawyers.

Jerry’s suing for $35 million in compensatory damages, $75 million in punitive damages, and for all profits the film made.

Doubt if Jerry will ever see the money he’s suing for, but stranger things have happened.
