Lil Wayne has officially left Cash Money or so he says…
During a concert stop in Pennsylvania, Monday night, the 34 year old rapper sparked more rumors that he has left his longtime record label and signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
Here’s a peep of his announcement:
“Is it cool if I just say it?” Wayne said during the show before throwing up the Roc diamond sign. “It’s the Roc. You know I’m a member of that team now. We’ll talk about that later, though.”
I wouldn’t jump for joy just yet though. The rumors of Lil’ Wayne signing with Jay-Z has been going on for years even before Jay-Z created Roc Nation. Wayne did announce in 2015 that he had signed with the Roc but that was just for the TIDAL streaming service.
Could this be real? Only time will tell. In the meantime, congratulations to Lil’ Wayne for making the move to Roc Nation!
