Golden State Warriors v Cleveland Cavaliers

One of the highest viewed games this year, Christmas Day was the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs pulled out a “miracle” come from behind win on the Warriors. If you watched the last two minutes of the game you were sitting on the edge of your seat. Not knowing who was going to pull off the victory. Unfortunately the NBA officiating missed two key calls that would’ve possibly determined the out come of the game.

First call missed: Technical foul for Lebron James (photo’d above) hanging on the rim for excessive time. Now we know if was anyone else in any other gym the refs would’ve made that call. We believe due to the magnitude of the popularity of Lebron and it being a home game the refs found it suitable to be dismissive of the call. If the call was made the Warriors would’ve shot free throws and gained position of the ball after the shot.

Second missed call: Kevin Durant being tripped on the final position. In a blatant clipping the refs missed a call that would’ve sent Kevin Durant to either shot two free throws or re in bound the ball to replay the possession. With it being a home game and Kyrie hitting a great fade away jump shot before watching the game you knew the refs weren’t calling any call for the final possession.

The question is what is to be done for future events like this?

A. Ask “the office” the intervene and make the calls for the refs?

B. Replay positions like the NFL does?

C. NOTHING?

One thing is for sure blaming the refs with no action behind it is pointless. Maybe they should fine the ref like they do the players?
