Earlier today, when meeting with the local media, Panthers head coach, Frank Reich announced that Bryce Young is now QB1 for the Carolina Panthers, as OTA's wind down, and minicamp is around the corner. Reich stated that this decision follows the timeline, from when Young was drafted first overall, as the plan was to gradually allow him to progress to this point. Even with Young now being QB1, Reich was non-commital on naming Young the starter for the season opener at Atlanta this September.

The Carolina Panthers haven't come out and said that they are searching for a veteran edge rusher, but many in the fanbase believe that this is still an area of need. On Monday, one of those veteran options came off the board when Leonard Floyd signed with the Buffalo Bills on a one-year deal. If the Panthers are going to find that edge rusher, it will have to come from a group that doesn't have nearly the history that Floyd has in the Ejiro Evero system.
